This Cookie Policy explains how Grin & Print uses cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, on grinandprint.com. It describes what each type does, which ones are essential for the site to work, and how you can accept, refuse or change your choices at any time. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser. They are sent back to the website on later visits, which lets the site remember things like what is in your shopping cart or whether you are logged in. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies; cookies set by another service are called third-party cookies. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies), while others stay for a set period (persistent cookies).
Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a website save small pieces of information on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage is not automatically sent to our servers with each request. We use it to remember a few simple preferences, described below.
How we ask for consent
We use CookieYes to display our cookie banner and manage your preferences. When you first visit the site, the banner lets you accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or choose which categories to allow. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot work properly without them. All other categories, including analytics, preference and marketing cookies where they are used, are switched off until you opt in, and you can change your mind at any time.
Categories of cookies we use
| Category | What it does | Consent needed? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Makes core features work: the shopping cart and checkout, logging in, security protection and remembering your cookie choices. | No, these are always on |
| Preference (functional) | Remembers choices that improve your experience, such as light or dark mode and saved favorites. | Stored only on your device; see below |
| Analytics | Helps us understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site, which pages are popular and where things go wrong. | Yes |
| Marketing | Used to measure or personalize advertising, or to make social media features work. | Yes |
The live list of every cookie currently set on the site, including any analytics or marketing cookies and their providers, is shown in the cookie settings panel provided by CookieYes. If we add a new analytics or marketing tool, it will appear there and will not run until you consent.

These cookies are set only when you add something to your cart or visit the checkout, and they do not identify you personally beyond your shopping session.

| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |

wfwaf-authcookie-* |
Set for logged-in users so the Wordfence firewall can recognize their access level and avoid blocking legitimate actions. | Up to 12 hours |
Wordfence may also set similar security cookies for site administrators, for example to alert them about new logins. These cookies protect the site and its users from attacks and are essential to our security.
CookieYes (consent)
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
cookieyes-consent |
Stores your cookie choices so the banner does not reappear on every page and your preferences are respected. | Up to 1 year |
Preference storage on your device
Some features of our theme and tools remember your choices using your browser’s local storage rather than cookies. This information stays on your device, is not sent to our servers and is not used to track you.
| Key | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
gp_theme |
Remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. | Until you clear your browser’s site data |
gp_likes |
Remembers which posts or memes you have liked on this device, so you do not like them twice. | Until you clear your browser’s site data |
gp_joke_favs |
Stores the jokes you saved as favorites in the Joke Generator. | Until you clear your browser’s site data |
If you clear your browser data, these preferences will reset and your saved favorite jokes will disappear, so jot down any you cannot live without first.
Our Meme Maker processes images in your browser and does not use cookies to store your pictures or captions.
Analytics cookies
Analytics help us understand which articles readers find useful and which pages need improvement. If we use an analytics service, its cookies are loaded only after you accept the analytics category in the cookie banner, and we configure it to collect as little information as practical. The names, providers and durations of any analytics cookies in use are listed in the CookieYes settings panel.
Marketing cookies
We do not sell your personal information. If we use marketing cookies, for example to measure the results of an advertising campaign or to enable embedded social media content, they are set only with your consent, and they are listed in the CookieYes settings panel. Where your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any cookies that would involve selling or sharing personal information under California law.
How to manage your cookie choices
On our site
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by using the cookie settings link or icon shown on our pages, which reopens the CookieYes preferences panel. Turning off a category stops those cookies from being set in future; you can also delete existing cookies through your browser.
In your browser
Most browsers let you view, block and delete cookies and local storage. Look for “Privacy”, “Cookies” or “Site data” in your browser’s settings. Popular browsers, including Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, provide instructions in their help pages. You can usually:
- delete all cookies and site data for grinandprint.com;
- block third-party cookies while allowing first-party ones;
- block all cookies, although this may stop the shop, checkout and login from working;
- use private or incognito browsing, which deletes cookies and local storage when you close the window.
Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to add items to your cart, complete a purchase or log in to your account.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the tools we use or when the law changes. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and if a change requires your consent, the cookie banner will ask you again.
