Humor and entertainment purposes
The content on grinandprint.com, including blog posts, jokes, puns, memes, the Joke Generator, the Meme Maker, party game ideas and printables, is published for entertainment and general information. Humor relies on exaggeration, wordplay, absurdity and the occasional groan-worthy pun. When we say a dad joke is “scientifically proven to make teenagers roll their eyes”, we are joking, not reporting a study.
We aim to keep everything clean, kind and family-friendly, as described in our Editorial Guidelines. Even so, humor is personal. A joke that delights one person may fall flat or even upset someone else, and what works at a family barbecue may not suit a workplace meeting or a classroom. Please use your own judgment about what fits your audience, and remember that the best jokes are the ones everyone in the room is laughing at together.
No professional advice
Some of our articles touch on serious subjects in a light way, for example the psychology of laughter, workplace culture, parenting, party safety or copyright. These articles are written to be useful and accurate, but they are not professional advice of any kind.
- Not legal advice. Our guide to meme etiquette and copyright explains general principles such as fair use under Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act. Whether a specific use is lawful depends on the facts and the law where you are. If you have a legal question, consult a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction.
- Not medical or psychological advice. When we discuss the science of laughter, we are summarizing published research for general interest. Laughter is great, but it is not a treatment for any medical or mental health condition. Please speak with a qualified health professional about your health.
- Not HR, employment or educational advice. Our workplace humor and classroom ideas are suggestions. Follow your employer’s or school’s policies, and consider the people involved.
- Not financial advice. Nothing on the Site is a recommendation about money, investments or purchases beyond our own products.
Never ignore professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you read on Grin & Print.
Accuracy of information
We care about getting things right. Our writers research factual claims, prefer primary and well-known sources, and correct mistakes when we find them, as explained in our corrections policy. However:
- information may become outdated after publication, especially about internet culture, platforms, laws and prices;
- we may occasionally make mistakes despite our best efforts;
- the history of many jokes and memes is genuinely uncertain, and origin stories that circulate online are sometimes more legend than fact. Where we are unsure, we try to say so.
To the extent permitted by law, we make no guarantee that the content on the Site is complete, current or free of errors, and we are not liable for actions you take based on it. If you spot an error, please tell us through our contact page so we can review and fix it.
External links
Our pages sometimes link to other websites, such as government resources, encyclopedias, research summaries or useful tools. We include these links because we think they may help you, but we do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices or products. A link does not mean we endorse the site, its owner or anything it sells. Websites change over time, so a page we linked to may later be moved, changed or removed. Please review the terms and privacy policy of any site you visit.
Affiliate and advertising disclosure
Grin & Print is supported mainly by sales of our own printables and products in our shop. We may also earn money in the following ways, and we want to be completely open about them:
- Affiliate links. We may use affiliate links, which means that if you click a link to a product or service and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. We will label affiliate links clearly, for example with a note near the link or at the top of the article, so you always know when a commercial relationship exists.
- Advertising. If we display advertising, ads will be clearly distinguishable from our editorial content. Advertisers do not control or approve what we write.
- Sponsored content. If we ever publish content sponsored by a brand, it will be clearly labeled as sponsored at the top of the page.
- Our own products. When we mention products from the Grin & Print shop in an article, such as the Meme Bingo Party Kit, that is our own product and we benefit from its sale.
We only recommend products and services that we believe are genuinely useful or fun for our readers. Commissions never determine our opinions, and we do not accept payment in exchange for positive reviews. This disclosure is made in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and similar rules elsewhere.
Product results
We describe our printables, party games and the custom design service as accurately as we can, and we are proud of them. However, we cannot guarantee particular results, such as how much your guests will laugh, how long a party game will last or how a design will be received. Results depend on many things outside our control, including your audience, your event and the way materials are used.
Printed results also depend on your printer, ink, paper and settings, and colors on screen may differ from colors on paper. Printables involving scissors, small pieces or party activities should be prepared and supervised by an adult when children are involved. Please follow any age guidance given on the product page. For questions about a specific product or a problem with a file, see our Refund Policy or contact us.
Fair use of commentary
Memes are, by nature, a conversation with culture. Some of our articles discuss, analyze or describe well-known memes, images, films, television shows or other works in order to comment on them, explain their history, criticize them or teach about internet culture. Where we include or refer to third-party material for these purposes, we do so in good faith and in the belief that it is a fair use under Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Act (or a corresponding exception, such as fair dealing for criticism, review, quotation, caricature, parody or pastiche, where it applies). We use only as much as is necessary for the commentary, credit sources where they are known, and do not use third-party material as a substitute for the original work.
Trademarks, product names and company names mentioned on the Site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify or describe them. Their mention does not imply endorsement or affiliation.
If you own rights in material that appears on the Site and believe our use is not permitted, please follow the process in our DMCA Policy or email [email protected]. We take these concerns seriously and will review them promptly.
User-created content
Memes made with our Meme Maker are created in your own browser, are not uploaded to us and are not reviewed by us. You are responsible for any images you use and any content you create and share. Jokes or ideas sent by readers and published on the Site reflect the views of their authors, and we review them under our editorial standards before publication.
Views and opinions
Opinions expressed in our articles are those of Grin & Print’s writers at the time of writing. They are offered in good faith and in good humor, and they are not intended to target, mock or harm any individual or group.
